A Farewell to Sense and Sensibility Cover Design
A Farewell to Sense and Sensibility,

A Farewell to Sense and Sensibility is a mashup between two classics, Hemingway’s A Farewell to Arms and Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. The element of rain is a reoccurring literary symbol that foreshadows events in A Farewell to Arms, as well acts as a catalyst for the plot in Sense and Sensibility. I applied this common theme using embroidery to reference “women’s work” in 19th century and the original shape was inspired by Accept & Proceed’s average UK rainfall poster.
